Alex had been sitting at a table in the lounge most of the day. He remembered when he used to come here when his father was alive, his dad was good friends with the owner and as long as Alex was not drinking, the owner never had a problem with Alex being there.
Today was the anniversary that the last of the "Honored" past away. The Honored were an elite class of individual that stood against some of the meanest nightmares that used to roam the world's darkest corners and recesses. He used to be part of them, but left due to being young and wanting to have a life.
Allowing the memories of his old friends run through his mind, he could see them for what they were back then. They were true heroes. He was the fool. And in their moment of need, he abandoned them because of selfishness. He was young and nieve, he just wanted to a have a normal life where he could have a girlfriend, maybe one day have a family and maybe just maybe some peace in his life.
Kayin was like his uncle. Strong, smart, hilarious when his sense of humor was at work but absolutely brutal when he decided to get serious. It always seemed like Kayin was watching out for Alex back then.
Ruby was his "aunt". She was lith, strong and a technological genius. She was the balance of the Honored group. She liked trying to mix Technology and magic to various devastating and useful degrees. She wasn't afraid to throw a punch but knew when to pull out the sniper rifle. She was also a stripper before she was a warden, so she was a looker.
Piper was the hot-headed gunner of the group. She could literally hit a target around a corner with nearly perfect accuracy, but had to be held back by Ruby and Kayin quite often because she had a tendency to shoot first and ask questions later.
The last of the Honored to be thought about, was the a mercenary named Darius Morb. He was in love with Piper and the two were together everywhere. Each had each others back no matter what, even when Darius became "rogue". Once he turned rogue, Piper followed then the fall of the wardens.
Alex smiled as took a drink of a short glass filled with a dark liquid with an odd silver glow to it. He looked at the table across the bar and in the window. The sign said "RESERVED". He knew what it meant. The sign was meant for him, ten years ago. But somehow through it all, it remained there and awaiting his response, even though the ones who left it left it and were long gone.
To the rest of the world, Alex was in a deep train of thought. Every ten to fifteen minutes, he would reach for a bottle of the liquid and refill the glass, and continue his thoughts of how he had abandoned everything he once knew. How he abandoned his friends in their greatest time of need. How he walked out of a life that he grew up in and lost everything because of foolish desires.
If had only knew, maybe he would have been there in that final fight. If he has been there, maybe, just maybe they would be here sitting here with him, helping him with some stupid problem that he had.
As strange as it was though, he still smiled even though his thoughts turned towards deeper thoughts.
(Feel free to join from here. Just don't sit at the "Reserved" table)

The bartender walked to his table and looked at him deep in thought. He was an elderly man with the grey hair beginning to weed its way into the hair line of the slightly wrinkled man. He may have been older looking but he stood tall and strong holding a glass in one hand, drying the inside with a rag he held in the other.
"You ok, Alex?", he spoke a deep but caring tone. He looked Alex in the eyes, ducking down to meet them. He could see Alex was not quite home. The silouette of several dark images played inside the pupils of his eyes.
The old man, touched him on the shoulder looking to the clock above the table where Alex sat. "I know its hard friend but you've got to move on."
Alex had been coming into the bar for the last couple of years. He always would purchase "the special" in full bottle quantity. Not cheap in any way. Then go sit down at the table where he is now. Alex always stared at the table with the reserved table, just stare and seemed to fall into almost a trance as his thoughts carried him away to some place that was not at Angel's Lounge.
Alex always seemed to be happy when he came in, then as he drank, he would fall further and further away from reality, becoming harder and harder to "awake" from his trance-like state. But it never failed, ten minutes from time to close, Alex would snap out of it then walk out.
He had always known Alex was different from the rest of the people that came here. There was something about him that seemed to draw him to Alex. Every day, Alex would walk in and sit. at about an hour to close, the bartender would look into the dark green eyes of Alex and could see the images that played in his head.
"If you need something, just hollar.", the bartender spoke before walking to talk to some other people at the bar.
As he walked away, Alex spoke, "Thanks, Trigger."
Trigger, the bartender smiled and looked back at him and responded with a nod before moving onto the business of other customers.

Lily looked across the bar at Alex and thoughts of interest began to creep into her mind. Something about the young man made her happy. But there was something else about him that drew attention, his aura.
Lily had the extraordinary ability to see the energies that people naturally had around them. This was an aura. She could watch it and tell the intentions of another, or tell if they were lying or telling the truth by just how the aura shifted with them.
She had been watching Alex, come into this place for along time, about a year, since the first time she spotted him sitting at the table in his odd trance like state.
She found it amazing that a person could have no aura at all, as though he was not there at all. Everyone she had ever met had an aura that shined bright, but Alex was the first one to ever have no aura whatsoever, meaning either he was a master at emotional control or he was doing something to mask it, either way it was interesting.
She came here every day to see if it ever changed, and for the past year, it had not.
Her long blue-ish tinted hair fell in front of her eyes, and she moved it away as Trigger walked up to her. "Anything I can get you ma'am?"
Lily shook her head slightly in response and looked at the "reserved" table.
"Maybe you can answer a question for me.", she asked quietly, trying not to talk to loud.
Trigger tilted his head in curiosity and listened, "and that is?"
"Who is the table Reserved for?", she said pointing over to it.
Trigger smiled and thoughts of his response. "Honestly, I don't know. It was put up before I took over as bartender. But I had to sign a confidentiality agreement that I wouldn't say who sat at the table when or if they ever showed up."
Lily thought and her eyes opened wider, "Wait. That table is reserved for the unknown?"
Trigger nodded with a chuckle and slapped his rag over and onto his shoulder. "I know. But that man over there, must know what it's about. He comes in all the time and stares at the table."
She looked to Alex and then back to Trigger, "What is his name?"
Trigger smiled a mischievous smile and moved his head in the direction of Alex, pointing with motion, "Why don't you go ask?"
With that, Trigger walked away and went to work behind the bar.
Lily thought about it, then shook off the thought. Just returning to her sights on Alex, pulling her phone as at began to rang. She read "unknown name and number" on the caller id then shrugged and answered it hoping it was not a bill collector.
"Hello?"

Corin sat in one of the booths, that lined a couple of the walls in Angels Lounge, listening to the various music that came from the speakers scattered around the room. It had taken him about three weeks to repair and restore the sound system in the bar, which had apparently seen more than its fare share of action over the years of its life.
The old bartender, Trigger as he called himself, had warned him he was in for a challenge when he was hired because the system had not been maintained in over twenty years.
It would have been cheaper to have just gutted and installed a whole new system but Trigger had said no that it was a tradition to keep this place as authentic as possible as it had been owned by the same family for as long as people could remember.
After the job was done Corin found himself still coming back day after day. There was something about this place that just kept drawing him back.
After his family had been killed in a hit and run Corin had never really found anywhere he liked for long, but there was just something about this place it was almost calming.
Today was not a good day though no matter where he was, it was the anniversary of the accident that had caused the death of his family and of his life as he had known it, but it seemed he was not the only one having one of those days.
Seated at one of the other tables near the bar sat Alex, he appeared about the same age as Corin and had the same dour haunted look, not that he ever really looked that happy.
Alex had a daily routine of sitting, drinking, and staring at a table by one of the windows that always had a reserved sign on it.
The strange thing was in the month and a half since Corin had started coming here he had never seen anyone actually sit at that table.
He had never actually spoken to Alex directly but had heard his name several times around the bar along with alot of other whispers and rumors.
He had apparently been coming here for years and had suffered loses of his own, he hid them well at times but they became clearer the longer he sat and stared.
Turning back to his table Corin drained the last of his drink and listened to the somber melody that was currently playing and thought about his very long list of unanswered questions.

Trigger looked around the bar, watching for those who might be needing assistance. Seeing Corin drain his drink, he walked to his booth and smiled lightly. "Hey kid. Get you another?"
Trigger looked at the room and caught a tune of the music. It was just at that moment that he realized that there were no wires or chords connecting speakers, microphones or anything else.
"You did a great job on the system. How did you manage to get the system to work everywhere.", he said thumbing in a direction towards a room locked by several different kind of locks: shape key, voice, bolt, pad lock and a biometric system. Since the owner of the company was gone, it would seem that there would never be another entry into that room.
The previous owner was quite secretive about his life and that life was in that room. But since the room was his personal living area, Trigger never thought about it.
"So how did you get around the room but get the music everywhere?"
Trigger smiled knowing he was not the music guy. He was social as a bar tender could be and into hunting but that was it.

Corin looked up as Trigger spoke and smilled " The speakers are wireless which allows me to work around anything in the way and ya i'll take another, just give me a minate I need to check the system real fast I keep hearing this odd echoing that should not be there."
Corin crossed to the small stage area on the far side of the room but nothing seemed to wrong with the equipment, returning to the bar he picked up his drink then headed back to his booth on the back wall.
As he passed where Alex was seated he droped a note on the table that said,
I am trying to locate a man named Quint Windblade or his son Kayin, the rumor is you have certain skills that may help me , if so I will be here all night, if I am mistaken then disreguard this note and sorry to have bothered you.

His eyes glistened as seemed to shimmer something odd as he refocused on the note. He poured a glass of liquor from the bottle and reached for the note, stopping just long enough to take a drink just before reading it. Alex’s eyes closed as the names echoed in his mind and brought up memories of those long remembered but not forgotten. After a good ten seconds his eyes shifted towards the owner of the note. Alex looked at the time and smiled realizing that it was ten minutes until closing time.
“Trigger?” Alex looked at the bartender as to call him over.
As Trigger walked over to his booth, he saw a glow in Alex’s eyes that has not been there before. Something had sparked interest or at least made something interesting come out of Alex,
“Mind if I close up for the night?” Alex asked gesturing towards the gentleman who dropped the note. Trigger smiled and nodded pulling a set of keys from his apron and handing them to him.
He looked at the few people left in the bar and spoke aloud, “Alright everyone. Final Call, Closing shop in 10 minutes!” Most of the people nodded and grabbed their coats and belongings and walked to the end of the bar, furthest away from the door where a black strong box was located.
Trigger pulled a black old-fashioned key from his back pocket and opened the box revealing a half-dozen set of car keys. There was one rule that Trigger followed by all means and anyone who came to this establishment knew it.
If you were here you were drinking, if you were drinking, he made sure to not let anyone drive. If you couldn’t drive, he’d call you a cab and you could get the keys in the morning. After 15 minutes, Trigger walked out with the last person, and winked at Alex as he shut the door of Angel’s Lounge behind him.
Alex moved the sign of the bar to "CLOSED" and turned to face the man who dropped the note.
"Who are you? What are you looking for? and how did you get my name and the knowledge of my skills?"
Anyone could tell by watching Alex that he was looking for a reason to drop this guy and make him disappear, but it would be foolish to not figure out what he knew so instead of a battle stance, he walked back to the table that he formerly sat at and poured two glasses of the drink.
"Let's talk shall we?"

Quickshot had been coming to the bar now for the past few weeks. Ever since a dealer came into his shop for some "Specialized" equipment. so after some careful prodding he only got one sentence. Go to Angel's Lounge.
He sat in the same spot he would always sit in a booth in the back facing so he could see the entire bar, but with his head tilted down just enough so with his hat on no one could really see his face.
when the bartender came over to his booth and asked what he wanted, he just asked for a bottle of Absinth and a glass. So as he enjoyed his drink and listening careful to all the conversations around him. So when he heard last call Quickshot had a sense to stay where he was so just stayed put leaning against the back of the booth to see if he got any reaction from anyone.

With a feeling of disapointment Corin watched eveyone, including Alex, begin to make their way out for the night.
Guess this was just another dead end he thought as he stood and collected his things, turning he was somewhat confused but hopefull to see Alex shut the door and flip the closed sign.
"Who are you? What are you looking for? and how did you get my name and the knowledge of my skills?", Alex asked as he turned.
Corin's hopefullness quickly turned to consern at the look on Alex's face, hoping that he had not just bought himself a one way trip to a body bag Corin sat back down.
Deciding that he was already in this mess up to his neck being completely honest was probebly the best option, "My name is Corwin Jarus but I prefer Corin, I am looking to hire a hacker and I heard your name passed in several conversaton over the last month and a half. I was hired to repair and restore the sound system here and noticed you were here almost nightly.
After the job was done I decided this seemed a safer place to try to talk to you best case the rumors were true and you help me worst case there wong and I look like a fool though im begining to worry that worst case may have outcome may have been wrong, hope not...
As for what im looking for that is a long story hope you dont mind... About 10 years ago my family and I were in a accident our car was hit broadside by a semi, my parents died on impact, my younger brother and I were rushed to the area hospital for treatment.
Somehow I emerged with only minor injuries but my brother had servere internal injuries his only chance of surevival was a transplant but when they tested me I wasn't compatable in fact there was no way we could even be related at all.
To make a long story short without a compatable doner he didnt make it eather so not only did I lose the only family I have ever known but I find out they were not even my family anyway. So for the last 10 years I have been trying every avenue avalible to find out who I am.
So far all I have gotten is that I was adopted by the Jarus family when I was only a baby, they were told my name was Corwin and my nickname was Corin beyond that those records are sealed so tight its insane, everytime I try to get someone to look into them they eather come up empty, I dont hear from them again at all or I get the same responce that they are sealed with some super secret level of securaty clearance that no one has ever even heard of. All of my inquires on the goverment level keep telling me that I am being duped that no such security level exists. Only one PI I hired has ever come up with anything and that was the names Quinton and Kayin Windblade, but after that he mysteriously disappeared and I have never heard from him again.
Which has led me to this point I have exhausted the persay legal options and am desperate enough to look to the shall we say not so legal...
Corin looked around he had been so caught up in his story he had only now noticed that even though the music was off that odd echoe was still present in the room, Can you give me just a second this echo is really giving me a headache there must be a bad connection on the reciever or someting causeing feedback. I dont see how its not bothering you to hear.

Alex listened closely and his eyes narrowed as the names echoed once again in his mind.
"You don't know who you are?", Alex said with a sigh, "I guess that puts us in the same boat then huh?"
"If you've heard my name and go about the rumors than you are probably closer to the truth than you realize.", Alex spoke catching a spark of something in the alley way. He turned his head and looked at the stage as though pin pointing the location of the power and shook his head.
After a moment, he looked back to Corin and placed a hand into his jacket as though going for something, then stopped.
Alex walked to him with his hand in his jacket. At the last minute he snapped his hand out and held up a small tablet. He typed furiously on it and after a minute he placed the tablet back into his jacket.
"And how do you plan on paying for my services?"

As Alex reached into his jacket Corin had to wonder if this was finally going to be it, I mean approching some stranger based on overheard bar rumors about breaking the law.. probably not the brightest idea he had ever had.
At this point it was unclear whether a badge or a gun would be the worst item to see come out, instead he saw a small tablet imerge and after typing furiously for a minate he returned it to his jacket and asked the all important question of payment.
Rising and crossing the room to the sound stage Corin said,"I guess that depends on how much you plan to charge me, I have a little money left from the life insurence I got plus what I make from my odd tech jobs but other than that I dont really have much at this point.
Squatting down Corin examined the sound equipment...
Standing Corin said "Humm thats odd everyting here is off but if that echo is not commng from here where is it comming from...." as he looked all around the room

Alex smiled at the thought of cash. He shook his head and walked over to where Corin was squatting. He looked at the point on the wall and smiled.
"Let me ask you a question, then we will discuss your situation.", Alex thought as he placed his finger tips against the wall, arching his palm as though he were going to catch something.
"Why would you go through so much trouble of finding something that is in the past?"
Alex thrust his palm into the wall, making a small thumping noise. The feeling of static connected Corin and Alex for a moment. A moment long enough for Alex to know what Corin was. After a moment, The strange echo died out and Alex looked to Corin for his answer, his eyes lightly glowing either by the lights in the bar or maybe by some light outside, but they did not look like their original versions. They were speckled with greenish glittery specks.
"Why would you go looking for a past that means nothing to anyone?", he said walking back to the table and pouring another drink before sitting down.

Post by Kayin on Oct 26, 2015 0:23:01 GMT -6
Corin watched Alex bumped his palm on the wall as he did the echo faded away puzzeled he said... "I dont know what you just did but thanks that noise was really starting to drive me up the wall"... now as for your question, "I was raised on the importance of family so for me the idea that I may still have family out there somewhere is important mabey they will be glad to know me mabey they wont but I would like the chance to find out.
Oh I guess I forgot that part based on the bits and pieces of information I have managed to find on Quinton I have reason to beleve he may be my biological father, I know Kayin was his son which I guess makes me eather his brother or at least half brother but I was hopeing that finding eather one would lead me to the other.
Corin began to wonder if the combination of the drinks and the headache were getting to him he could have sworn Alex's eyes had been pure green earlyer but now they almost seemed to have a glittery metalic look to them...
Walking back to the table Corin sat down and drained the last of his drink, as he said I want to know where I came from why wasnt I kept did they even know about me at all so on. I have no information on my mother and what was the anomalie that the hospital saw in my blood that day.

Alex listened intently to the answer given and he smiled at the response as though it were the things he wanted or actually needed to hear.
Once again reaching into his pocket, he pulled out the tablet and pressed a button. He flipped the tablet and showed Corin a picture.
A dozen people standing and kneeling, side-by-side, smiling and looking at a camera. Alex, centered between Kayin and Quint looked just as he did now, without a single change except for a hair cut, he had longer hair back then.
All the people in the photo had eyes that seemed to look directly out of the camera and deep into the person looking at it's soul. They all glowed with various colors ranging from White to Black to Red to Blue and Green.
Alex pointed to a strong capable looking man, his eyes were ice blue. "Kayin Windblade". Next he pointed to a man who was slightly taller than Kayin with a form much more defined than Kayin. His stance said military and his eyes glowed A blue sapphire like color. "Quint Windblade"
"Kayin helped me through the best and worst times in my life. You'd have been proud to be in his line. But the man who brought him into the world, I had the most respect for. Quint."
Alex shook his head swiping his finger across the tablet face to show a picture of several people, Kayin and Quint were there, along with a small crew of what looked to be military force. A sign behind them said "Psychorin". "This is the reason you find no answers."
Alex swiped one more time and showed a picture of five people. A small box said "The Honored". Kayin stood in the center, a small boy and 3 others.
"I can tell you just about anything you want to know. BUT. It comes with a cost."

With a shakey hand Corin took the tablet and stared at the picture of the group of people, even if Alex had not pointed each one out it would have been obvious the resemblance was just that obvious to him.
There were many physical simularties between himself and the two men but the errie thing was how each person in the pictures eyes seemed to glow but not in the same way... it was a phanomonon that Corin had seen before reaching for his phone Corin pulled up several pictures. They ranged from family photos to bar crawl parties to just random selfies taken, but in each one the same thing was present, his eyes appeared to glow with a deep blue almost grey color.
The doctors had never been able to give him any explanation to this other than he appeared to have some kind of photo reactive mutation in his eyes that caused them to react to a camera flash much the same way a cats eyes appear to glow green when hit by a light.
Looking back at the tablet as Alex flipped to the second picture it appeard to be some kind of militery unit again Kayin and Quint were there but Corin couldnt help but notice that one of the men in this picture bore a striking resemblence to Alex.
The last picture again showed Kayin but it also showed a boy that could only be Alex's little brother the sesemblace between the too was to striking for it to be anyone else.
Looking up from the tablet Corin regarded Alex... Exactly who are you and what kind of cost are we talking about here. The way you keep using the past tence when you refer to those pictures doesnt exactly fill me with confidence that your information is going to include a face to face.
For that matter what is Psychorin and why am I nicknamed after what I can only assume is some kind of millitery black ops unit.
Corin was offically on the verge of freaking out between all the sanerios amd emotions banging through his head he was officially on overload, lacking the ability to do anything else at the moment he grabed the drink Alex had poured and downed it... probably not his best idea... at the last minate he noticed the drink had a strange silvery color and a very smooth taste but the after affect left him just this side of passing out everything was now blury and shacky letting his head fall back Corin closed his eyes and tried to relax his mind relyng on just his ears to contine the conversation.
Several loud thumps drifted to Corins ears from somewhere and he thought he thought he heard someone say something about cops but at this point he was doing good to still be coherant that drink must have been almost pure alcholl but Alex had been drinking it all night what was going on here....

So as Quickshot was listening to all that the two were saying it was starting to trigger something .... but he was still getting bored and finally thought of something to do to get rid of the boredom. So he grabbed a paperclip out of his pocket and slipped into the trance and pictured the perfect angles and ricochet to make it bounce between the two of them without showing were he was sitting so he flicked it and it bounced off of the chair then the wall to then hit the ceiling and fall down and bounce between the two of them. He then thought to himself let's sit back and watch the reaction.

Alex watched as the kid seemed to go from intrigued to panicked.
"Corin. You must calm yourself.", Alex said pouring a glass and smiling. He remembered when he was first introduced to the world outside the world. After listening to Corin ramble Alex stood and walked to the man who somehow managed to remain hidden until a paper clip landed in front of him. Alex shook his head and filled the glass with some of the liquor from the special bottle. While Corin was freaking out, he placed the glass on the floor and it slid to the booth and levitated onto the table in front of Quickshot. There was an eerie fog on the glass with a word written in the frost. "Stay."
Alex returned his attention to Corin as the effects of the drink began to influence him. He remained serious as the influence would make him stagger and then sleepy eventually maybe putting him into the sleep that can follow.
"Corin. There is a world outside this one. It's nothing like this one. It's cruel, unusual and can be depressing. But with time and practice, I can show you that world."
Alex walked to Corin and helped into the booth, placing a hand on his shoulder. The effects of his hand placement would leave a calming emotion on Corin as he walked to Quickshot's booth and sat down.
"Who are you? And why are you here?", Alex looked at him with the sights of a hawk. He seemed to be looking for something inside of his answer.

When the glass levitated to his booth Quickshot started to give a half smile u derived his hat as he started to realize that seeing or hearing some of this may be why the dealer had sent him here.
So when Alex had a seat and asked why he was here. He took a big swig of the drink was passed then did a second look at the glass liking the effects of the drink. He went on and told Alex his name and advised how he had found out about Angel's Lounge. Then preceded to tell about his boredom and how looking and had been looking for something more "challenging" going back to what he had herd and seen about in his dreams. About strange magics and other stranger things.

With his head still resting on the back of the booth and his eyes closed Corin felt his mind begin to clear as he lowered his sensory intake, at the same time he felt Alex touch his shoulder and heard him speak, this seemed to increase the calming affect on him, "if it will get me the closer to what I need then its down the rabbit hole I go Corin said, Then with a slight smerk he added once the blasted thing stops moving, till then guess i'll just sit here.

Alex's eyes narrowed at Quickshot. Listening to his reasons for being here made something within him very angry. "Challenge?!” he thought to himself, gripping folded hands that sat upon the table between them. There was a tension filling the air and something else. An energy. A static. The hairs on the back of his neck and the watch he wore begin to arch static lightning from within its rims.
Alex was officially mad. I mean where did this guy think he was going with this? What are on earth had the rumors been and the dreams he had been having? What the fuck gave him the right to come to a place that he visited all the time and make a claim that he was looking for a challenge? The static lightning began to jump from the metal caps on the bar, making them almost dance and roll around each other as the bolts arched from one to the other. The charge in the room began messing with the lights, dimming them and brightening them.
Alex couldn't figure out why he had this feeling of anger. He couldn't pin point why in the hell a complete stranger with one hell of a dream sense could piss him off so much. As he looked at Quickshot, the metals on Quickshot began to heat, then arch static bolts from piece of metal to piece of metal, and then it began to crawl across his skin, from whatever metal it emanated from out a few inches then back.
The sound system began giving off a dull frequency that pitched higher and lower. One of the speakers in the corner began to echo the noise from around it, giving off eerie sounds of whispers and voices, a loud roar exploded from the speaker and behind it a scream that spoke "ZERO!", making a firework show as it exploded, shooting sparks and pieces in all directions.
With the explosion, Alex snapped out of whatever the hell this was and looked to the speaker. Alex jumped up and grabbed a fire extinguisher from behind the bar and sprayed the small fire.
"Mr. Cross, I don't know who you think I am, but if this is your way of trying to find a challenge, I suggest you head to Kaiser's Pit. Pretty sure they can give you a challenge."
Alex shook his head and placed the fire extinguisher on the bar with a note, "Sorry put this on my tab."
Alex's hands and body trembled. It was apparent that whatever happened affected him greatly.
"I need you both to listen and listen well...” he said looking from one to the other, and then looked at Corin directly. "... this life is not one that I would bestow on anyone, friend or foe. If you take this path, seeking knowledge of your ancestry, you will be drawn into something that could strip you of everything you love including your soul."
Looking at Quickshot, "John Cross, I am not the person you think I am. I apologize if you've wasted your time but whatever you heard about me, whatever you think you've seen, it's not. If you truly need a challenge in life, go to this address; ask for Victoria, she can help you."
He pulled a card out of a pocket and layed on on the table in front of Quickshot - "Special Enforcement Agency for Paranormal Activity. aka S.E.A.P.A"
With that, Alex sat back down, this time at the bar with a full bottle of the "Special", then reached over the counter and pulled a shot glass. Once filled to the brim, he drank it and immediately filled it again.
Something about him had shifted. His demeanor went from angry to depress. It was apparent that whatever had happened in his past, still haunted him and whatever supernatural just happened, just made him realize that he could not escape fate.

Corin sprang from the booth as he was startled awake by the roar and explosion of the speakers, looking around he saw Alex facing off with another guy that had not been there before or at least he didnt think he had.
" I guess now we know where that echo was comming from earlyer guess one of those new speakers was defective, is everyone ..."
Alex's words seemed to penitrate all the way to his core, but it only took a moments reflection to have his answer.
"I have already lost everything I loved, and since that day, when I had to be the one to make the choice and pull the plug on my own brother because I was, as they put it, geneticly not right then I have just exhisted my way through life.
Now I have a chance to find my real family or at least find out about them, and myself, so lets do it. I will trade a possible hell for a definate one anyday.
Walking over to the bar Corin took a seat setting the empty glass from before down in front of Alex as he said, "When and where do we start, .... and by the way does that stuff always kick that hard" ... he added with another of those half cocked smerks he was prone too.....

Jon shook his head to clear it and took a long slow look around. Well not too bad at least it wasn't the worst place he woke up but nothing can compare to waking up in a bloodbath or might as well say that with half a dozen headless bodies surrounding you.
John looks down and sees the card with information wrote on saying to go here and wonders who left it and why, so as he looks around he sees some people at the bar and decides that maybe they have been here long enough to know who he was talking to so they can tell him at least that.
So John gets up and walks over to the gentlemen and introduces himself as John and asks if they happen to know if they saw who he was talking to.

Alex looked at him with curiosity before realizing what happened. Shaking his head he reached over the bar and pulled a 3rd glass and placed it down next to him, filling it to the brim with the "special". "We were all just talking about life and how things have a way of making you see things differently. Here, have a drink, and we'll continue our discussion.", Alex smiled at what had transpired, then looked over to Corin. "Yes, its not normal by any means. You both should be dead.", Alex laughed shooting a shot and pouring more into the 3 glasses then continued, "You get used to it, and eventually, you'll never drink anything else. Your brother and father were big fans of this stuff." The three of them continued talking long into the night. Alex filled John in on what had happened and how he suspected he had multiple personality disorder of the light and dark persuasion. Alex told him that he needed to be more careful and if he needed help for it, he knew a guy who knew a guy. At 430am in the morning, Alex laid an envelope full of $100 bills on the counter and got up. "Both of you are coming with me. Since we can't drive we'll have to hail a cab since Trig took the key to the Ring box.", Alex walked to the door and shut the lights down, seeing a feint image in the glass as he did. The image was of a tall lithe woman, wearing long light blue tethers that covered her along with making her look like some metaphor for the wind. Her black hair and icy blue eyes twinkled as her image faded then Alex walked out of the door and awaited for the other two. As the men walked out, Alex whistled loudly and a cab arrived within a minute. Alex made some remark that the cab company keeps someone on hand for him on these late nights, and that the company was just down the road a block. Once all were inside the cab, Alex nodded to the driver and he began to drive asking one question before driving forward, "Home?" Alex nodded and off they went. To: Home Sweet Home
