" Ya I know who you are," Corin said with a smile as he followed behind her, "some of this story is up to him to tell but as for my part of it I have no problem telling it but you will not like parts of it."
Kayin didnt know he had a brother eather, he took after our fathers side but I took after our mothers, she was lost in a battle that your father and my grandfather covered up, yes im saying Bastion is my grandfather so to speak, its because of him I have void powers, I was lost somewhere in the shuffel of the cover up, only to be picked up and used as a ginniepig by you and whats left of Psychorin for a combat project, I guess with nearly everyone dead what was left of PEA became kind of dictatorish or just desperate. Eather way someone broke me out of the project and replaced all that with a kinder past and hid me away with a human family, they were killed in an accident, which let me on a long hunt for information which is how I met Zero or Alex as you keep calling him.
He then agreed to help me get that info I needed which has caused us to spend most of our time since then running from a pissed off you and several members of Psychorin, that is an abriviated version of the story, alot of the details are up to him to tell if he chooses.
Speaking to Zero in his mind Corin said I will leave it up to you to tell her all the details I can help fill in as necessary, but I really think you should tell them everything includeing the vampire parts, I had an interesting thought, being here like this gives us a way into PEA and acess to some of their data that may help us when we get back to the real world.....

Patricia looked at him as though something clicked in her mind, |so these images in my mind are real? And that really is the current version of Alex." She didn't seem to be surprised by much of this, she just seemed to be going with it.
Zero looked back at her and became lost in a stare. the link between Corin and Zero pinged as Zero communicated to him and him alone. "This world is aware of our existence, meaning this is an active memory. Everyone here knows who we are, and what we have done, so explanations are now unnecessary. Now the problem becomes, is how is this Kayin's active memory? He supposed to be dead. I think we have become someone in the memory, taken their place."
Something in the back of the Zero's mind surged through him. The connection let Corin know what Zero was feeling. It was a power field. An Aura. Something ridiculous in power and awesome in terms of sheer power. Zero spun and faced the soldiers, looking into the horizon and staring into the distance. "Can't we just catch a break."
As the soldiers glared at Zero, Patricia turned and faced Zero, then faced the horizon. She looked to the soldiers and with raised voice commanded, "Call everyone... get Kayin, the Psychorin ranks as they stand, and H.D. It's coming back."
They stared at her for answers and she repeated the orders, this time much louder, and in response they ran into the building. Zero looked to Patricia, and then to the horizon, "How many are left Patty? How many Wardens? Psychorin? Soldiers?"
She thought for a long moment, her face becoming something filled with sadness, "Not enough. There are about a dozen Wardens, all of Psychorin is still kicking, although they are generally doing what they do in the field and there are about 100 soldiers with various training."
Zero looked at her dumbfounded, "That small of forces? What happened to the rest? How long have we been fighting this war?" Patricia answered coldly, the answers she was giving were the worst and she knew it, "About a week. If Tracer comes back, I'll let him explain. I'm not really sure how to explain it."
Zero shook his head in disbelief, connecting to Corin in mind, "This wasn't a war. It was a massacre."
On the horizon, a darkness began to fill the skies. Clouds of grey with lightning walking across the bottoms of huge cumulus clouds. As the power closed in, strikes of lightning and burning heat came from the ground. The air chilled and the winds began to blow. the shadows from each person their took a life of their own as they seemed to get into a guard position, the arms of their shadows locked and became one barrier that moved into a circle around the group. Zero noted the energies and relayed them to each person here. He spoke calmly, analyzing the energies as they came to him.
"Fire. Ice. Lightning. Wind. Shadow. Psycho-kinetic. Dark.", he looked to Patricia. "Is this what you have been fighting? Not Hybrid?"
Patricia nodded and looked back towards the building. She was waiting patiently for someone to come but it was taking it's time. "Once a day starting on day two. It took out a lot of soldiers first. It has come in many forms. From humanoid to dragon."

The horizon began to fill with dark clouds that stretched as far as the eyes could see. The darkness crawling across the skies like a plague of locust. The lightning strokes began to strike the grounds below in various hues ranging from black to white, red to blue, and green to yellow. Rain began to pour and the winds began to kick up at a force something like an F1 tornado- about 80 miles per hour. Something in the clouds bellowed and caused the earth below them to rumble, then a shock wave from underneath the street caused the roads to explode, creating a tidal wave made of stone and re-bar and steel. The wave was 40 feet tall and half a mile wide, blasting into buildings and sundering everything in it's path. The buildings stood tall for only a moment as the wave crashed into them one after another, toppling them to the ground becoming part of the wave but shortening the height.
A flash something in the clouds caught the eyes of Zero and Corin, as the connection between them became a furious connection of visions and emotions from something not of this world. Zero grabbed his head as it became braided by thoughts of absolute destruction and a never ending hatred that consumed the link and echoed into Corin's mind. Zero shielded the intensity as best as he could but not all of it could be stopped. It overwhelmed him as though it were part of his own conscious thought process. This hatred was something that could not be made in a day. This was created from years of fighting against something so dark that it would destroy everything that stood in front of it.
After the flashes and images ended, Zero began to understand what this force was. It was the Avatar of Hatred. A true force of nature never before experienced by the Wardens. Something like habit, easily created, easily reinforced, and almost impossible to resolve.
Patricia looked to Zero, then to Corin as they recovered from the mental assault. She seemed to be gauging the amount of power in the attack. She shook her head and looked to the soldiers, giving them the order to run. She stepped forward as the Earth wave got within 100 yards of the building, her face was serious but her demeanor was calm. The calming effect moved into Zero and Corin, reinforcing their own power. She had created a barrier inside their minds.
With a few elegant and simple movements, her body lit up like glow sticks in the dark, yellow light boomed from her skin as several lengths of tattoos became visible in the new light source. She summoned everything she had and with a single step forward and a palm thrust, a sharp looking prismatic shaped barrier rushed out and split the wave in two. Her movements were not quite flawless but her technique could be described as fluent and practiced as she slid to a side then rotated her arms above and around her body, letting her final movements slam both of her hands into the ground. The light pierced the grounds and became a rising torrent of earth mixed with magical energies. It rose quickly and spread out widely, deflecting the rest of the debris that would have hit them.
She took a breath and stood once more looking back to Zero who as this point had seemed to be focused on powering himself up to full power. His eyes formed into a spiral shape, red moving into blue with a sparkling causing a mesmerizing effect to those who stared long enough into it. His body shook as he forced all the power he had into his body, then let it flow out of his pours like sweat. Black energy began to amass on his skin becoming dark plate like armor that shifted in color from Black to red. White wraps encircled his forearms just before the armor formed onto them. The same was done to his legs and ribs as the now red armor began to shape and harden. Zero has summoned power he had never been able to bring forth before. Dark Matter Psycho Armor, something his father had once tried to show him, but he just never had enough mental energy to conjure. But now with his new found strength of the mind, he not only summoned it, but shaped it into an armor and a red Katana that hummed like power lines. After about 15 seconds he popped his neck and stepped behind Patricia, placing a hand on the small of her back. "Your the shield, we're the sword. We need to buy enough time for the others to get here."
Patricia smiled and placed a warm hand on Zero's touch and then looked forward. "We really need to talk if we survive this. Let's play it defensive."
Bellows and screams in the distance sent wave after wave of different energy in their direction. Creatures of grotesque looks, shapes and sizes began to flood the streets as they fell from the skies like rain from a hurricane. They looked small at a distance, but as they landed, they began to pool together and become ten foot tall monsters that seemed to leave craters where ever they stepped. Their roars would shake who were not battle hardened and strike fear into those who were. Multiple heads, and appendages gave them the strike advantage and no blind spots as the faces of the heads seemed to be on all sides and always shifting around in circles.
As the creatures became more visible, Zero could feel the intensity of the creatures thoughts. They were hive minded and connected to one controller.
"You feel that Corin? Whatever this is, it is controlling everything ahead of us, and probably won't come forward until we have taken out a sizable chunk of these things. We will hold here until reinforcements arrive, you can guard the retreat, or you can play the shield with us."
