"Sure thing ma'am.", Lucy smiled and rushed to the counter to make a hot tea.
Derreck looked at the door carefully, as though he were looking for someone.
"Yea GPS is crazy, but the App I have is something that a person I once knew made. It has all those places that most people wouldn't even know about."
He shifted in his seat as Lucy returned to the table carrying a tea and a fountain drink.
Lucy: "Let me know if you knew need anything ma'am.", Lucy smiled and placed a piece of paper that looked like the ticket down in front of Derreck.
Derreck: "Thank sis."
Picking up the receipt he shook his head and placed it in his shirt pocket.
"If you want I can send you the App via text message. And as for me thinking your far from home. With a name like Lin Li En, that's a good starter. But you never told me that so I will explain what I know, or what I can assume to know."
He took a drink of his drink and smiled looking at the door again, then looked at her.
"Ever get the feeling that the world is not what it seems? Like there is something going on behind the scenes or the walls of every building? Ever get the feeling that someone is looking at you even though you are alone in a room?", he shifted his body and leaned on the table, like he was getting serious. "I've had that feeling for the last 140 years. You seem out of place in this place in this realm. You go to places where things seem more at peace. To center yourself and bring yourself back to a more physical plane of existance. I cannot tell where your from but the winds say your not from here and the earth seems to respect your with greatness, so I must do the same."
He took another drink as a man entered the Cafe. He was 5'6" feet tall and wore a kevlar jacket with an odd symbol on a patch of the shoulder with the acronym "O.S.K." below the symbol. His hair was an parted through the middle and everything about him said military. His fatigues were black, and on his hip was a very large caliber hand gun.
"Hey Lucy.", he spoke and she smiled in return, "Hey D. What can I get you today?"
The man shuffles and looked around spotting Derreck staring at Lin as though he were thoroughly enjoying the conversation.
"I need a large coffee, black please. And a bagel with cream, if you have them.", the man smiled then walked straight to Derreck, who looked at him as he approached.
"Yes?", Derreck's eyebrow raised as he looked at the military man.
The man didn't speak just looked at Derreck as though scrutinizing his movements and his tone, then walked back to the counter.
"How much I owe you darlin?", the man asked as Lucy pulled her pad out and then wrote a big fat ZERO on it. "You know military and police do not pay here. Thanks for protecting us."
The man nodded and smiled at her before leaning in and whispering something to her.
Her face got pale as the man turned around and walked out.
Derreck shook his head and knew they had been made. Lucy rushed to Derreck quickly and knelt down, "Five men, heavy guns, with a Moon Tracker. We've got about 6 minutes before they are here."
"Lin, I apologize for the rush but we have 3 minutes to get as much distance between us and this place as possible. If you will kindly follow me, I need to get us away from here. I am sorry for the rush, I will explain later but right now, WE HAVE GOT TO MOVE."
With that Derreck knelt down and placed a hand on the tiled floor. He closed his eyes and a strange energy seem to fall away from his shoulders, into the ground then rose to be absorbed into his shoes.
"Make that two minutes. They have two groups. 2 units of 3, the lead group has Coupera."
Derreck spun and quickly ran to a door placing his hands on the seems for a moment before leaning back to reveal runes that began to appear all along the frame. He opened the back door of the Cafe and smiled holding the door open, "After you..."
